The Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) has embarked on a vigorous training exercise for club IT officers across the region on the registration of players on to the FIFA connect system.

So far, over 50 club officials in six District Football Associations (DFAs) have been taken through the processes of registering a new player, renewal of an existing player, and loaning a player out ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The Ghana Football Association had announced the opening of player registration for the new league season after having the 2019/20 League season truncated due to the deadly Corona Virus pandemic.

The Vice-Chairman of the Data and Statistics Committee of the NRFA, Abubakar Yussif spearheading the training, highlighted the importance of the exercise for the clubs.

“Almost everything is changing of late especially under a new GFA Administration, so there is a need to keep our members updated as such this training”.

The NRFA secretary, Abdul-Gafaru Abdul-Karim while explaining the new status of the GFA, urged club officials to always follow due process in acquiring players.

He also advised clubs to endeavor to seek legal clarifications on matters bothering on law to avoid future litigations.
