Issah Amama and Abdulai Mariyam got Loyal Ladies’ Regional Division Two campaign off to a perfect start with goals in either half to earn a 3-1 win over Kalpohin Dahansheli Ladies.

Loyal Ladies making their first official appearance in the third tie got off to a perfect start with an early goal through Issah Amama but were pegged back by the visitors at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium Annex 3.

It was plain sailing from there for the hosts, who would likely have added to their tally had they converted the numerous chances created. However victory was soon going to come as Amama got her brace to put them ahead before half time.

Loyal Ladies had been preparing towards the new season with delightful displays in their press season friendlies. That eventually seems to work as the win sends a warning to the rest of the teams of their intentions for the campaign.

Loyal Ladies first away game of the season sees them engage Victory Ladies on Wednesday at 3:00pm. Victory Ladies will go into the encounter fresh as their opponents, Kunbungu K. Y A Ladies failed to show up for their opening fixture.

Meanwhile in the other fixture Nanton Batan Ladies edged Nyankpala Beyorm Ladies by a lone goal to wrap up week one of the Northern Region Division Two Women League.
