OFFICIAL: No Fati in Spain U17 World Cup squad

Some excellent news to begin a day with, Blaugranas! Ansu Fati is staying at Barca instead of going to the U17 World Cup in Brazil and missing a month of club football.

On Wednesday, October 9, Spain U17 coach David Gordo has announced the final squad for the World Cup and there is no Fati on the list:

However, two other Barca starlets have been called up: Jose Martinez and Ilaix Moriba from Barca Juvenil A team. Hopefully, they will help La Rojita to deliver the World Cup glory.

As for Fati, he remains in Barcelona and is currently undergoing a recovery program after experiencing slight physical problems in recent weeks.

It is likely that Ansu will be called up fro the senior national team soon, as Spain don’t want to lose such a talent to any other country.
