Management of Tamale-based Women’s Premier League side, Pearlpia Ladies says their MTN FA Cup preliminary match against Bagabaga Ladies would be played behind closed after consultation with stakeholders.

In an interview with Sey Mubarick on the Gbangu Fm Hot Sports Show, CEO of the club, Baba Nuhu Mallam reiterated the need for all to observe Covid-19 Protocols as such restricting supporters from watching the local derby.

Reports gathered by sports24online.com indicates Pearlpia Ladies have been charged by the Ghana Football Association for failing to adhere to Covid-19 protocols and admitting fans in their home game against Northern Ladies which ended abruptly.

The week 11 game at the Utrecht Academy Park came to a halt in the 71st minute after supporters on the away side stormed the pitch to express their anger over what they discribed as an unfair goal allowed by officials of the match.

Baba Nuhu Mallam admit to the challenge and has therefore asked supporters to adhere to the statement from the Management of the club. He says players and officials of both clubs would be permitted. However they must all ensure they observe the Covid-19 protocols to avoid been asked to leave the facility.
