The Asante Kotoko team that traveled out of Ghana on Sunday have safely arrived in Sudan ahead of the meeting with Al Hilal Omdurman in the CAF Champions League.
Nicknamed the Porcupine Warriors, the Ghanaian club in December 2020 hosted the Sudanese opponent at the Accra Sports Stadium for the first of a scheduled two-legged tie in the second round of the preliminary stage of the competition.
Having lost by a goal to nothing, there is a lot of pressure on Asante Kotoko to go to Sudan to overturn the results.
Yesterday, the club with 22 players traveled to Ethiopia with a plan to transit to Sudan today.
In the last hour, Asante Kotoko has through a post on their Twitter page announced that the team has safely arrived to prepare for the clash against Al Hilal on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
