Arsenal are gearing up for the FA Cup clash against Newcastle.
1. Thomas Partey is closing in on return to full fitness
The Ghanaian’s return is a long-awaited one. The 27-year-old has been sidelined since the start of December and the skill set and quality that he offers in midfield can’t be produced by anyone else in the team. Thomas was training with the rest of the group as the club should provide an update on his fitness in the next few days.
2. Lacazette beams happiness
The striker has gained an imperious form. Laca has been scoring consistently over the last few weeks – 5 goals in the last 4 games. Just look at his smiling face to get to know about his mood.
3. Azeez and Okonkwo join the seniors
As usual, a bunch of youngsters took part in training with the first-teamers. Miguel Azeez and Arthur Okonkwo were among them. While the midfielder has already made an impressive cameo for the senior squad, the young keeper is only dreaming of getting his chance.
4. David Luiz is hoping to get minutes in the FA Cup
The 33-year-old has missed a few games through health issues. Rob Holding has established himself as a starter ahead of the veteran in Mikel Arteta‘s pecking order making the XI in the last 7 Premier League games. It seems that the FA Cup is the best chance now for David Luiz to get a spot in the line-up now.
