Steadfast FC and Debibi United resume their fight for the Premier League promotion as the Division One starts again following a seven-week hiatus for the World Cup.

When local football stopped in early November, Steadfast FC and Debibi United were already threatening to make it a two-team race in Zone 1A with one point separating second-place Steadfast from Debibi in first.

The second Bono derby of the season is a mouth-watering proposition between Bofoakwa and B. A United . While Bofoakwa Tano have looked unstoppable this season, with just one defeat and sitting comfortably at the top of Zone 1B, rivals B. A United are struggling to put their house together so far with two wins of the eight games played and ten points adrift of the top of the table.

It will be fascinating to see whether The Apostles of Ghana Football will be able to stop the Hunters as they chase Premier League promotion.

At the Golden City Park in Berekum, Zone 1B second placed side Young Apostles would look to deepen the woes of host Berekum Arsenal as the target top spot.
The away side go into the game a point adrift of Bofoakwa Tano and expect the collect maximum points.

Baffour Soccer Academy are in must-win territory now and failure to secure all three points away against Mighty Royals could well cost their plans of making the mark into the Premier League next season.

The Nsoatre based side performed well during the first four games of the campaign, but have been inconsistent, resulting in drop in form and finding themselves five points off the table.

Things are starting to get a little bit worrying for Kunbung Binbiem Fc as defeat in their last match saw them slip into the relegation zone.

While it’s still early in the season, the Bees would’ve been looking to challenge much further up the league, especially after some eye-catching performances during the break. Binbiem won the Maiden Edition of the Naa Gbewaa Charity Cup, beating Premiership side Real Tamale United and Kasalgu Arrow Heads in the finals, but will have to show that class away to Wa Yasin.

Kasena-Nakana United haven’t played a Division One League match for nearly a month, so will be hoping the international break keeps some of their players ticking over.

The rest of the gameweek should be decent, no question about it, with Maana SC welcoming Eleven Wonders to the Malik Jabril Park in Wa and Unity Fc taking on Nkoranza Warriors, but the aforementioned contests are the big-main event everyone will be locked into watching.
