Real Tamale United face Nsoatreman Fc at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in their next Division One League game.

Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko’s side must win to keep alive any realistic hopes of Premier League football next season, while the away side need victory to ovoid further going down on the log.

Neither side can afford to slip up as Coach Tanko desperately tries to reverse RTU’s fortunes. The host are 14th in the standings, three points behind 8th placed Wa Suntaa, a point above Paga Crocodile.

The Pride of the North go into Wednesday’s clash one point behind Nsoatreman in the race to avoid the drop zone and with the need for a turnaround in form becoming ever more desperate.

Real Tamale United have not been good enough over the past four home games, drawing three and winning just one and face a “great challenge” to compete at the top again if they wish to gain promotion into the Top flight of Ghana Football.

The home side will seek to take advantage of the momentum gained from their draw at the Coronation Park against B A United. The game against Nsoatreman Fc will be another crucial part of their attempt to achieve a top 4 finish by the end of the first round and, with it, Premier League qualification.

The tight positioning of the top of the table means that a loss could see Waaay Una drop places and create an insurmountable gap between them and the Premier League Promotion.
