After recording their first win in the MTN FA Cup last week this campaign, Real Tamale United have intensified training ahead of their crunch encounter with Goaso based side Unity FC in the Division One League.

The Tamale based side has had a poor start to the season and inconsistencies at some points have denied them the opportunity of taking an early led on the league table as they languish at the 14th position with one draw from three games.

Now ready to battle it against Unity FC, who lost their last game against Tamale City at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, the Northern Blue have set sight on gaining points to ensure they improve their position on the standings.

At the University for Development Studies Sports Complex this morning, the team intensified training under coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko.

The coach welcomed experience duo Hanan Giwah and Tawfik Alolo back into full training this week and both are in contention for the clash with Unity Fc on Sunday.

Giwah has not featured since picking a knock on the opening day while Tawfik Alolo has missed the last two games. RTU won the MTN FA Cup without the two but their return would be a boost for coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko as he plots his first league win of the season.
