Barcelona made an attempt for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba last summer, it has been revealed.
Immediately after helping France win the World Cup, Pogba attracted an approach from Barca, says Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalans made the move after being contacted by the midfielder’s agent, Mino Raiola, to offer the Frenchman.
Barca immediately acted and sounded out United chief Ed Woodward about a price for Pogba. However the response was negative, with Woodward insisting the midfielder was not for sale.
Pogba is now a target for former club Juventus, despite his recent revival under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
