Manager Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko’s men started to trickle back into the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium facility on Wednesday as they begin preparations for the upcoming campaign.
The Pride of the North made a return to the Top flight of Ghana Football after 8 years after edging Bofoakwa Tano on the final day of the 2020-21 Division One League.
Wednesday’s training saw the return of players who masterminded the club’s return to the Premier League as well new faces as the head coach look to augment the squad.
What are RTU’s plans for pre-season?
RTU have already confirmed their participation in the Maiden Super Cup competition for Division One Clubs which comes off on the 23rd of September in Elimina. The club is planning a training camp in Wenniba before the start of the league season.
Last season’s top scorer for the club Ronald Frimpong, midfield Jacky, Sadat Mohammed, Hedir Mohammed, Mustapha Fuseini, Gerard Akwako, Hardi Mohammed were some of the first team players who reported for training.
