Mohammed Munkaelu Attiah Jnr. the Operations and Marketing Manager of Tamale-based Real Tamale United (RTU)  SC has expressed joy at the level of support he has gotten so far after assuming office but went further to admit that the Coronavirus outbreak which has halted all footballing activities including the National Division One League has had an adverse effect on the operations and marketing of the Pride of the North.

He made this revelation on Friday night’s Sports24 Show. He said, “Its [the situation] just been like any other club in Ghana. We are finding it difficult to settle our financials. In Ghana most of the clubs depend on gate proceeds to be able to finance the payment of players [and other expenses] and now that football is not there, its very difficult to meet our financial obligations”.

“We are not going to cry over spilled milk, we are planning hard and we will bounce back” He concluded.

He agreed that the FIFA and CAF COVID-19 relief fund will cushion the team to some extent.
