Country – Director of ActionAid in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Alhaji Mohammed Saani Yakubu has made a cash donation of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis to Real Tamale United ahead of the club’s season opener against Great Olympics on Sunday.
The former Ghana Premier League giants who are making a return to the top flight, will this weekend host the Dadey Boys in the opening round games at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
According to Alhaji Ahmed Abdul – Rahim, who made the donation on behalf of Alhaji Saani, the gesture is to motivate RTU to fight to secure positive results in the league.
Alhaji Saani Yakubu who served under the current CEO’s administration in 2008, has played significant roles in advancing the course of RTU even when the team went into the wilderness.
Alhaji Ahned Abdul Rahim entreated supporters to be motivated by the kind gesture offered by Alhaji Saani and urged them to contribute towards the forward March of the club.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the CEO, club Secretary, Alhaji George Mutawakil expressed his gratitude for the donation and that the money will be put to good use.
