Real Tamale United will complete their preparations for the 2021/22 campaign with a pre-season friendly against Division One League side, Steadfast FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Thursday 28, 3pm kick-off.
The Pride of the North will take on Gargo Mohammed’s side three days before their Premier League opener against Great Olympics on Sunday 31st October.
The clash against Steadfast will follow RTU’s participation in the DOL Super Cup, an Eight-team tournament in Accra, featuring other new entrants, Accra Lions and Bibini Gold Stars.
The Steadfast clash provides an opportunity for coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko assess the strength of his team ahead of the new season. He will however expect positive outcome after thrashing Dreams FC in a club friendly last Thursday before returning to the North.
After an encouraging start in the 3-2 victory over Berekum Arsenal in the Super Cup , RTU fans have to wait until Thursday afternoon’s clash with Steadfast to get their next glimpse of their new-look team.
