Returning Real Tamale United will face traditional foes Great Olympics on the opening day of the new Ghana Premier League season.
The fixture is a repeat of the Traditional contest the two have experienced during the great days of football in Ghana.
On this occasion, Olympics will head to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on the first week of the campaign , before RTU travel to Accra to engage Legon Cities on the se ond week.
Those two daunting matches are followed by equally tough tests against WAFA and Aduana Stars , before the Pride of the North host Ashgold in week 5.
In terms of other key dates, Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko’s team will welcome Medeama to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on matchday 7 and will visit Asante Kotoko on Day 8.
RTU will renew their rivalry with Champions Accra Hearts of Oak on the last week of the first round before finishing the campaign away to the Phobians.
The upcoming season is expected to start on Friday, October 29, 2021, with the first round ending on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Specific dates, times and venue for each match fixture would be announced after the Club License Board submits approved venues for the season, according to the GFA.
