Ghana youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has joined Premier League side Dreams FC in a one-year loan deal ahead of the start of 2021/22 season.

The 17-year-old, who was linked with Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon and Premier League side Liverpool, is believed to have signed a short term deal from Steadfast FC.

Although, reports in the local media earlier this week suggested that Issahaku will be joining Ghana Premier League returnees Real Tamale United, According to AshesGyamera, Dreams FC hijacked the move at the eleventh hour.

The Dawu-based club promised him a starting role and more game time in their squad which enticed him and his counsel.

Issahaku was the Best Player of 2021 Africa U20 Nations Cup as he helped Ghana to win the title. He scored two incredible goals and assisted six goals to get the world talking about his immense quality.

He made his senior national team debut last weekend when Ghana defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 in the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The youngster was handed a starting berth by Milovan Rajevac and he impressed a lot of Ghanaians with his sterling performance.

He will make his Premier League debut against Asante Kotoko at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu on October 29 when the new season kicks off.

Issahaku is expected to leave the shores of the country next year for greener pastures when he turns 18 years.
