In a document sighted by sports24online.com, the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rule on the misconduct of supporters of Nsoatreman FC.

It will be recalled that some players and officials of Real Tamale United (RTU) were brutally stoned by supporters of Nsoatreman FC in week 6 of the ongoing Division One League.

The incident which attracted a lot of attention across the world occurred on Sunday, 7th February at the Twumasi Sports Complex.

The GFA swiftly banned the home venue of Nsoatreman FC and in the said document available to sports24online, there have been further sanctions:

  1. A fine of GHC 5000 is hereby imposed on Nsoatreman FC in accordance with Article 6.1(c) of the GFA Disciplinary Code.
  2. That the GFA shall give RTU an amount of GHc2000 to cater for the medical expenses of the club’s officials and goalkeeper who suffered injuries.
  3. The fine imposed on Nsoatreman FC shall be paid to the GFA within 14 days failing which the GFA shall apply Article 15 of the  Disciplinary Code.
  4. Nsoatreman FC is banned from using the Twumasi Sports Complex as its home grounds for the rest of the 2020/21 league season.
