South African football coach Steve Komphela has lauded the Ghana Football Association’s $2M deal with Telecommunications giant MTN as sponsors for the senior national team the Black Stars ahead of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The deal was announced on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association in Accra.

Sheikh Tophic Sienu, a member of the Ghana’s Access Bank Division One League board shared the news on his twitter page and Steve Komphela commented with the words, “Great news. Good luck to The Black Stars”.

Steve Komphela is a South African football coach and a former player. He is the former manager of Maritzburg United, Kaizer Chiefs, Golden Arrows and Bloemfontein Celtic. He is currently working as a Senior Coach at Mamelodi Sundowns and he has been credited for his good work at Mamelodi Sundowns.
