Tamale based division one side, Steadfast FC opened the 2019/2020 Division one league campaign with a 1:1 drawn match against Kintampo FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Both goals came in the first half when Abu Abdallah’s goal for the home side was canceled by Ibrahim Abdul Razak, the striker of Kintampo FC.

The match was very competitive as Kintampo FC proved their dominance in the later part of the game.

Substitute Amadu Abdallah proved his worth when he was brought on from the bench for Tamale Steadfast FC. Awuda Adam and Adam Abdul Hanan followed him from the bench but their presence could not secure the three maximum points for the home side.

The supporters were charged and hoping that their darling club would dance to the tune ‘first match first win’ but the team could only settle for a draw.

Steadfast FC will travel to Sunyani to play against Young Apostles on Thursday, 16th January 2020 on Match Day 2 in the DOL.
