Anssumane Fati may soon get a world-famous agent.
In this case, however, he’ll need to walk away from Messi links.
Jorge Mendes has allegedly contacted Fati’s father and offered his services as an agent. The Portuguese is well-known for mentoring Cristiano Ronaldo and many other Portuguese stars, particularly Bernardo Silva and Nelson Semedo.
Although Fati has recently obtained Spanish citizenship, Mendes could still attract Ansu’s father with such an offer: Bori Fati has been obsessed with Portugal and wanted to see his son play alongside Cristiano.
As for now, Fati’s personal advisor remains Lionel Messi’s elder brother, Rodrigo. The Argentinian presumably doesn’t perform all functions of an agent. He keeps Fati away from troubles and pitfalls of young footballer’s life, as well as the agents’ greed.
Anssumane Fati is having the time of his life at Barcelona. Back in July, he got his contract renewed with a reported release clause of €100m. After that, the 16-year-old completed his debut for the Catalans, scored his first goal for Barca and established himself as a regular first-team player.
