Tamale City 4-0 Berekum Arsenal – New players shine of their debute as Citizens crush Gunners

New recruit Kojo Aggrey scored his first brace for his new club, Tamale City as the Citizens began their Division One League campaign with a crushing 4-0 win at home to Berekum Arsenal.

Hamza Mohammed’s side, who have vertually overhauled their squad with new signings, made a fast start and wasted some good chances with Mohammed Yahaya missing from close range.

But Mohammed redeemed himself with a lovely first-time volley to open the flood gates for the home side. That goal roared the home side into action. And in the second half City showed class with two other new signings Bismark Asare and Kojo Aggrey finding the back of the net.

The away side brought on new signings and made five changes after the break, but their defensive frailties cost them as City enjoyed a winning start to the 2021-22 DOL campaign.
