The 5th edition of the annual Kesmi Love Walk took place today in Tamale, with the aim of bringing together listeners, fans, clients, associates, staff and the general public to exercise, have fun, socialize and network. The love walk is an annual event put together by the radio station every year – February to be specific – together with its sister-radio stations, Amana Radio and Angel FM, Tamale.
The walk, under the theme: Love walk towards peaceful election 2020 started from the Tamale Jubilee Park through the principal streets of Tamale with hundreds in attendance.
What makes this year’s walk special and significant according to the CEO of the radio station Mr. Kessie Musah Ibrahim is that, “This is the 5th year of the walk and we are also in an election year. We want to start instilling the message of peace and love early into the youth of Tamale because a peaceful city and a peaceful nation has successful businesses and attracts investors”.
“When there is peace our business partners stay in business and by extension, Kesmi FM also stays in business”. He added.
The walk also brought together Keep fit clubs and health organizations who stressed on the importance of exercise an how it keeps you away from the doctor.
Participants after the walk were taken through aerobics, free health screening and some fun packed activities with music and dance.
