A Contingent of Technical Staff, Sportsmen and Women led by the Director of Sports, Mr. Ibrahim Tanko, has converged on the Tamale campus of the University for Development Studies, in preparation for their participation in the 26th Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
The Event which would be hosted by the University of Ghana, Legon is scheduled to take place from Friday, 3rd to Sunday 19th January, 2020. Participants who will be drawn from eleven (11) public universities would compete for laurels in soccer, basketball, volley ball and field and track events.
An upbeat Director of Sports, Mr. Tanko commended University Management for providing the requisite financial and logistical support to aid the Team’s preparation for the games. He was confident that Team UDS would win more laurels than in previous competitions. The Registrar, Dr. A. B. T Zakariah, an ardent supporter of Team UDS has also paid regular visits to the Team, to boost their morale and to abreast himself with the Team’s level of preparedness for the GUSA games.
