Real Tamale United will play Berekum Arsenal on Thursday in the Division One League Super Cup.
Just a little over two months after the end of 2020-21 season, the two fierce rivals will lock horns in the competition in Accra, at the Madina Astro Turf.
And there are two other teams who will be opening the group B matches on the same day.
Samatex FC and newly promoted side Accra Lions will lock horns in the morning before RTU engages Arsenal in the afternoon.
The competition actually started on Wednesday with two games on the first day of the competition. Zone 2 champions Bibini Gold Stars drew goalless with Sky FC while Tema Youth set the pace with the first three points of the competition when they beat Bofoakwa Tano by 1-0.
Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko’s side play their opening game against Arsenal, a repeat of last season’s division one encounters.
