Chairman of the Sagnarigu Municipal Football Association, Ibrahim Dauda and his Executives have congratulated Issahaku Abdul Fatawu for Ghana’s Africa Youth Championship Cup victory and hope the midfielder continues to deliver such many impressive performances during tournaments.
The 16 year old has been a hit this campaign for club Steadfast FC in Tamale after strings of impressive displays in the Division One League. Fatawu was one of Ghana’s key performers at the Tournament and played a crucial role in his nation’s successful campaign in Mauritania.
The former Zaytuna Babies star was adjudged the Most Valuable Player at the end of the Tournament receiving praises from FIFA President Giani Infantino who presented the best player trophy to the youngster.
Fatawu started his football career with Zaytuna in the Sagnarigu Municipality before joining Tamale Utrecht Football Academy at the age of 13.
Fatawu produced a truly scintillating display against Tanzania, scoring Ghana’s opener in spectacular fashion.
He has been one of the players of this tournament, and this triumph of the highest order serves as an emphatic victory for the Sagnarigu Municipality.
