The owner and president of Ghana division two side FC Tamale, Ibrahim Gagbuni has expressed his displeasure on comments made by Prof. H. Kwasi Prempeh the Executive Director of CDD-Ghana on Joy News’ News File programme on the aftermath of election 2020: Probing 6 deaths and violence for justice.

In a Zoom video, Prof. H. Kwasi Prempeh was heard comparing the scenes of some of the collation centers where there were some violent acts during the election 2020 to the aftermath of a soccer match.

Mr. Ibrahim Gagbuni believes these comments dent the image of Ghana football. “These kind of comments about our football in Ghana must stop. We all wonder why we are not able to get sponsorships for our various leagues in Ghana. It is due to comments lk=ike these”. He said.

“I call on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association to as a matter of urgency, call on Prof. Prempeh to substantiate his comments or retract and apologise”. He added.
