Women’s Premier League side Pearlpia Ladies had a lucky escape when the team bus carrying them from Techiman to Tamale was sprayed with bullets by Armed Robbers.

All players, coaches and team officials survived unscathed in the incident on Monday night, however the incident has traumatize the entire squad.

It’s reported shots were fired at the team bus between Buipie and Yapie on their way back to Tamale after their first match of the 2021-22 Women Premier League campaign.

Pearlpia Ladies commenced the Women’s Premier League on a brighter note after recording a 1-0 victory over Ampem Darkoa Ladies in Techiman, however that victory was mad by the attack on their return to Tamale.

The team will have to recover quickly from this trauma as they prepare for their second game of the season against FC Savannah this weekend.
