Real Tamale United coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko warned that there is still more to come from his charges as they wrapped up another away win on Sunday at the expense of Paga Crocodile Stars.
While the scoreline may not have been quite emphatic, United’s win never looked in doubt at Paga Town Park after an impressive start to the season.
Abubakari Nawas gave the visitors the lead within fourteen minutes to set Coach Tanko’s men off to a perfect start.
The 1-0 victory was RTU’s third in four away matches in the Division One League Zone 1, a run which has seen them push ahead of some of their title rivals in recent weeks.
But if the club’s fellow title challengers, including Berekum Arsenal and Bofoakwa Tano were hoping they would soon let their foot off the gas, Coach Tanko advised they think again.
“Knowing that coming here, against Crocodile Stars away, it is always difficult. But today we did it again really well. We can do better, but in general I don’t have regrets. The players are human beings and can commit error sometimes.
“We were lucky to score early, after that the first time we started to break the lines. The team is solid and alway difficult to break them especially at the back.
“It’s always a good result here, beating Paga Crocodile at home, they haven’t lost a home game this season so far so to come and win here away, is great. I am satisfied.” the former Medeama SC coach told sports24online.com.
Real Tamale United return to action on Sunday, when they face seventh -placed Wa Suntaa at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
