During a Formula One race in Austria, Sky Sports reporter Natalie Pinkham referred to Timo Werner as a ‘Chelsea and Germany goalkeeper’.
“I’ve got Timo Werner here,” the presenter said. “Chelsea and Germany’s goalkeeper. How are you?”
Werner ignored the error, simply saying “I’m fine, thank you” in response.
Pinkham owned up to her mistake, making a brilliant joke on Twitter.
“Breaking news: Werner confirms position swap,” she tweeted after the incident went viral on social media.
