Uzbekistan Women’s Premier League side FC Sogdiana have completed the signing of Ghana forward and women’s football icon in the Northern Part of the Country, Fuseina Mumuni.

Fuseina joins Sogdiana on a contract until the end of the 2020/21 season, subject to obtaining a work permit.

The 19-year-old has spent the past 4 seasons with Ghana National Women’s Soccer League side, Pearlpia Ladies in Tamale.

Having spent the majority of her playing career in the West African Nation, she also had spells in Asia with Amman, Jordan in 2018, after a having a spectacular tournament with the Ghana National U-17 team, the Black Median in the FIFA world Cup in 2017.

Fuseina is a young but an experienced international player and has been capped by the U-17 national team 12 times. She is stepping into Uzbekistan with a vast of experience of 3 Junior world cups, right to dream academy trainee and 3-4 years premiership experience with Pearlpia Ladies.

Fuseina said: “FC Sogdiana is an exceptional club and I’m thrilled to be joining them. I’m looking forward to the challenge of competing in, and playing with and against some of the best players in the world. I have big ambitions for this season and can’t wait to get on the pitch with my new team and start this next chapter, I want make an impression in that country that will lead me to playing in some of the best leagues in the World. She said in a statement before flying out of Ghana.
