The Northern Zone Women’s Premier League Club, Pearlpia Ladies FC held their final training session today at Utrecht Football Academy (TUFA) Park, Kasalgu ahead of their home encounter with Supreme Ladies on Saturday, 25th January, 2020 at the TUFA Park in Kasalgu.
The euphoria at the training grounds was high as the players turn up for the final training was massive. Almost all the players were present including star players such as Alhassan Basira (Captain), Nindow Basira, Abdul-Rahaman Samira, Mumuni Fuseina, Abdul-Rahaman Barikisu (Akiti), Abdul-Rahaman Safia, Konlan Cynthia and many more. The Assistant Coach, Alhassan Osman together with other technical members of the club took charge of the training session.
Management members including the club’s communication officer, Mohammed Mutaka were spotted at the training grounds to give moral support to the ladies. Supporters of the club were also there in their numbers to see their darling club train for the last time before tomorrow’s match.
Speaking to Radio Tamale after the training, the captain of the side, Alhassan Basira expressed optimism that her side is more than ready to face the opponents, Supreme Ladies tomorrow. She added that Pearlpia Ladies are capable of scoring more goals in the match against Supreme Ladies since all their players are now available for selection. She therefore called on fans and supporters to come to Utrecht Park, Kasalgu in their numbers to cheer them to massive victory.
Pearlpia Ladies defeated Kumasi Fabulous Ladies by 3 0 on match Day 1 in Kumasi. But the member of the Ghana’s women U-17 squad for Uruguay 2018 U-17 Women’s World Cup, Alhassan Basira believes that they can score more than the 3 goals against Supreme Ladies.
Meanwhile, city rivals, Northern Ladies will travel to Techman to take on Ampem Darkua on Sunday, 26th January, 2020.
