WPL: FC Savannah Captain Asana Ibrahim receives first call up to National Women’s U-17 team

The Captain of FC Savannah, Asana Ibrahim has been handed her maiden invitation to the national Under-17 women’s team.

She was called alongside team mate and goalkeeper Amina Ahamadu.

Asana 17, captained the fire girls to a triumphant season where the team was unbeaten in the Women’s Zonal Championship and produced a record of 16 wins 1 draw and 1 lose in the Northern regional Women’s Division one league leading to their qualification into the women’s premier league.

Asana Ibrahim has ten (10) goals involvement for FC Savannah in all competitions; five (5) goals and five (5) Assists.

Baba Nuhu Mallam, Head Coach of the National U-17 Women’s team has invited about fifty (50) young players across the country to camp at Prampram, and this number is expected to be trimmed down after some weeks of training.
