Fabulous Ladies and Northern Ladies shared the points at Wesley Park with a 1-1 draw in a gripping encounter characterized by the tragic accident of the away team.

Northern Ladies went into the game after their travelling squad were involved in an accident in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Though there were no casualties, coach Bashirudeen said the girls went into the game with panic.

Northern Ladies took the lead courtesy of Torkudzor Fredica, but Agnes Aduako equalised for Fabulous Ladies to share the points.

The opening stages lacked quality with neither side managing to take control, until Northern Ladies grabbed the opener in the 16th minute.

A fortunate bounce fell to Torkudzor who, inside the box, despatched her shot for her third goal in the last two games.

However, the home side were gifted an equaliser just eight minutes after into the second half. A floating ball into the area of Northern Ladies saw a clash with goalkeeper Issahaku Barichisu, but referee Rita Nkansah Boateng pointed to the centre spot after Agnes Aduako tapped in for the home side.

Barichisu meanwhile couldn’t continue the game after the clash and Coach Bash thinks his side deserved to have won the game.
