Zinedine Zidane has shed light on his preferred goalkeeping choice ahead of Madrid derby, doing it in a typical his way too:
“We’re all in the same boat and I’m going to count on everyone,” the boss said.
“The only thing I want to say is that my players are prepared. I would’ve liked to play with 25.”
“We have a match tomorrow and what we want is to win. It will be difficult for us against a very good opponent,” Zidane added.
Our loanee keeper Alphonse Areola made his Madrid debut on Wednesday against Osasuna and managed to keep a clean sheet. On the downside, Osasuna made close to zero shots at goal, so it is an open question really, who should be starting in the goal of the two.
As for Thibaut, the Belgian has conceded 57 goals in 40 games which makes his conceding average at staggering 1,425 since his €35m move last summer.
