Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is fed-up with his underperforming players, it has been revealed.

Defeat at Shakhtar Donestk last night has Real’s hopes of qualifying from their Champions League group on a knife edge – and sparked speculation of Zidane being shown the door.

However, Sport says Zidane isn’t considering losing his job and instead plans to push for a huge clearout from January 2021.

Zidane has lost confidence in players like Belgian Eden Hazard or the recently returned Martin Odegaard. Brazilian pair Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have also left the coach non-plussed.

Zidane is also growing tired with the attitude of several players. And in this group would be the Brazilian Marcelo and the German Toni Kroos. Indeed, if given the power, Zidane would clearout 70 per cent of his current squad.

The Real boss believes he can only count on Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Ferlan Mendy, Casemiro, Fede Valverde and Karim Benzema.
