The Elder Brother of Former Minority Leader and Principal of Tamale College of Education, Dr Iddrisu Sulemana on Wednesday paid a visit to Karela United, ahead of their weekend Betpawa Premier League encounter with Real Tamale United.

Karela United has relocated to Tamale for the past three months, and Dr Idrisu visited the team’s training camp to motivate the players ahead of the crucial encounter.

He urged the players to play above themselves as they seek to win the hearts of the fans in Tamale. Karela United after four games are 8th on the league table after a win, two draws and one defeat.

He assured the players of maximum support from the Board and pledged to engage more stakeholders to elavate the team to the highest standard.

Speaking on behalf of the players, captain Fataw Mohammed said, his colleagues fully aware of the significance of the upcoming matches, are poised to unleash their full potential to be able to make a claim for themselves. He assured Dr Iddrisu of their determination to produce results that will eventually bring attention to the club as they are new in the Region.

Karela United owned now by MP for Tamale South, Hon Haruna Iddrisu failed to meet the club liencing committee’s requirements to honor their home matches at The Cowsby Memorial Park in Anyinase, hence their migration to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
