Technical Director of Tamale-based Football Academy, Utrecht, Baba Nuhu Mallam has spoken of his pride at qualifying to the next stage of the Northern Regional Division Two League , which he says has been a challenging campaign after making it out of tough group.

Tamale Utrecht beat Dreams Tamale 3-0 on the final games of round one of the competition to progress to the sub middle league, but Mallam says finishing inside the top two in the Batco Zone isn’t enough of a target for his team; the Ultimate is qualifying to the Division One League.

The Academy Boys have revived their bid for a straight promotion to the second tie and after finishing level on points with Dreams Tamale and Zaytouna, shift their focus to the Sub-Middle League.

“This has been a challenging season but the Ultimate is yet to come,” Mallam reflected. “This was the toughest group and we know going forward it will be harder than what we have experienced. I am so proud of the boys for their commitment ”

” We have loaned about 13 players whilst four other stars are currently outside the country so we must aploud this group for their performances” Baba Nuhu Mallam continued.

Tamale Utrecht Football Academy got relegated three seasons ago from the Division One but are bent on making a comeback and the Black Maidens coach believe he has the Arsenals to qualify the team to Division One.
