Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar agreed a five-year contract with Arsenal ‘two weeks ago’, reports have claimed.
The Gunners are desperate to bring the 22-year-old to north London this summer.
And Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has revealed on Twitter that the Frenchman has been waiting almost two weeks for the clubs to complete nogetiaitons over a transfer fee.
Aouar is seemingly packed up and ready to join Mikel Arteta’s exciting project at the Emirates.
The signing would cap off an excellent summer for Arsenal, which has included the arrivals of Willian and Gabriel, as well as the extension of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract.
It might not be the last signing as well with Arteta also keen on Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.
