Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira has the financial backing to hire Jose Mourinho.
The sacked Manchester United manager has been raised by Vieira as a replacement for the sacked Rui Vitoria.
There’s been claims Mourinho’s personal demands would be too much, but Sport says the president has said “the money is no problem”, opening the debate again.
Vieira insists he had not spoken to Mourinho though.
Bruno Laje is working as interim coach for now and the president said that he will stay in charge until the end of next week. Mourinho is a free man after being sacked by Manchester United.
