Chelsea could confirm the signing of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner this week.
The Daily Express says Werner’s move to Chelsea could be announced as early as this week.
The German striker is set to join Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge this summer after Chelsea agreed to trigger his £53m release clause.
Werner had been linked with Liverpool and was expected to move to Anfield.
However Liverpool decided against making a move in the wake of the coronavirus, allowing Chelsea to swoop in.
And the deal could be confirmed as early as this week with Werner Chelsea‘s second signing of the summer after Hakim Ziyech from Ajax.
