The Head of Sports here at Zaa Radio, Halid Prince Mukadi Gbramoni has called for among other things, the de-politicization of the sports sector in the country. Mr. Prince says the continuous politicization, religious interference, tribalism, nepotism and cronyism is negatively affecting the progress of the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars.

The Stars once again failed in their attempt to win the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in over three decades. The team was knocked out at the round of 16 in a penalty shootout by Tunisia following a 1-1 draw in regulation time in the ongoing AFCON in Egypt.

But Prince Mukadi in a Facebook post titled ‘’let’s blame NDC and NPP for their political interest in our national team, fingered the Blacks Stars Head Coach Kwasi Appiah for the team’s poor showing in Egypt.

He noted the coach failed to pick the right players for the tournament and Soccer Funs and Ghanaians for that matter were disappointed about the Black Stars failed mission to win the trophy.

He said sports is about dedication and therefore called for unity and patriotism among sports players in order to bring back the glory days of the Black Stars.
