Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have announced on their official Facebook page that their CAF Champions League game against Nouadhibou FC has been called off.

Everything looked set for kick-off after Kotoko named a familiar starting eleven to take on Mauritanian side Nouadhibou FC in the second leg of the CAF Champions League at the Accra Sports Stadium.

But the game was delayed and according to information gathered by sports24online.com, it was due to the fact that two players of Nouadhibou tested positive for Covid-19 as well as one Asante Kotoko player.

Asante Kotoko on their official Facebook page wrote:

Stay tuned for more details.

Had the game been played today, this was how Kotoko would have lined up:

Kwame Baah; Christopher Nettey, Imoro Ibrahim, Yusif Mubarik, Ismail Ganiu; Kwame Adom Frimpong, Godfred Asiamah, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Emmanuel Gyamfi; Kwame Opoku Ibrahim Osman.

The first leg ended 1-1 in Mauritania last week.
