Athletic Bilbao defeated Barcelona and won the Supercopa after extra time! This was an evenly contested game and neither side could get ahead after 90 minutes.
Griezmann opened the scoring in the first half, only for De Marcos to equalise immediately following a brilliant pass from Williams. And it was a similar story in the second period: Griezmann tapped in to give Barcelona another lead, before Molina stabbed in from a free-kick in stoppage time to bring Athletic level.
Extra time was marked by Williams giving Bilbao the lead with a stunning effort from the edge of the box, and from there Barcelona desperately pushed for an equaliser.
But frustration got the better of them as Messi was sent off late on and Athletic held on for a historic triumph!
