The management of the Porcupine Warriors have settled on their alternative venue for their 2020/21 CAF Champions League campaign for Al Hilal clash, according to Kickgh.
Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko will be facing Sudanese side Al Hilal in the CAF Champions League at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on December 23rd.
The club has decided to move their CAF Champions League matches from Accra to the Tamale Sports Stadium following the overburden on the Accra Sports Stadium.
Earlier this month, Asante Kotoko’s request to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to switch to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium was declined.
The Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium has already been approved by the CAF for its Inter-club competitions.
Asante Kotoko progressed to the next stage of the 2020/21 CAF Champions League preliminary round after Mauritanian side FC Nouadhibou refused to play the return leg fixture in Ghana.
CAF, therefore, handed all the needed points to the Porcupine Warriors which handed them a ticket to the next stage of the competition to face Sudanese side Al Hilal.
