Players and officials of Asante Kotoko last Friday left the shores of the country for Cameroon in high spirits.

At the Kotoka International Airport, it could be deduced from the faces of skipper Amos Frimpong and his colleagues that the Porcupines are battle ready for Sunday’s CAF Confederations Cup match against Coton Sports.

Though the players were not allowed to grant interview to the press, the body language of the 18-players gave enough assurance that they really mean business in Cameroon.

Some supporters who were around to see the team off at the Airport were equally confident that the Fabulous Boys would certainly cruise to the final whistle as victors.

“We are very positive about Kotoko chances. Looking at their preparations and  confidence level, we know they will come out with flying colours on Sunday”. Kotoko Communications Team member Nii Darko Seth told Sports24online.com.

The Kotoko contingent who left the Kotoka International Airport last Friday for Cameroon included 18 players – two goalkeepers; six defenders; 7 midfielders and three strikers.

Felix Annan and Muntari Tagoe are the goalies while the defenders comprise Amos Frimpong, Augustine Sefah, Abass Mohammed, Agyeman Badu, Abdul Ismail Ganiu and Wahab Adams

The midfielders include Richard Senanu, Prince Acquah, Umar Basiru, Kwame Bonsu Conte, Stephen Nyarko, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Maxwell Baakoh

Burkinabe import Songne Yacouba, Obed Owusu an Abdul Fatawu are expected to lead the attack and bang in the goals for Kotoko against Coton Sports.
