Tamale City FC ready for 2021/2022 DOL season

The Citizens finished 5th in last season’s division one league which many have described as the most competitive in zone one in a very long time.
Going into the 2021/2022 season, coach Hamza Mohammed has reinforced his squad with some high profile signings, including 4 premier league players.

Meanwhile the likes of goalkeeper Prosper Gbeko,Yussif Mohammed Nurudeen, Kwame Frimpong and striker Sam Otis have also left the club.

Prosper Gbeko and Kwame Frimpong both joined city rivals and Division One league side, Steadfast FC with Sam Otis joining Kumasi based premier league giants, King Faisal FC. Yussif Mohammed Nurudeeen popularly known as Weimah also signed for Ghana Premier League newcomers, Real Tamale United.

The Citizens will be looking to carry their pre-season form into the new season following an unbeaten run in all pre-season games.

Hamza Mohammed’s boys will kick start the season with a mouthwatering fixture against last season’s runner’s up Berekum Arsenal, at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Monday,November 22,2021.
