The Fatawu story was given yet another boost Saturday afternoon when his side Tamale Steadfast played Wa Suntaa in Tamale in the National Division One League. The home side won 4-0 as Fatawu scored three in a lopsided affair.
The promising youngster opened his account by drifting in from the right flank and finishing brilliantly at the far post. Steadfast dominated possession and had a flurry of chances.
He would grab his brace with a sweet long range effort that rattled the net in the top corner. The icing on the cake saw him convert a penalty he had won, with a powerful effort. His burst of speed in the opponent’s vital area forced a rough challenge from the full-back, leaving the referee with no option.

It was a superb display from a player who has been turning heads with his gifts. His exploits at the recent CAF U-20 AFCON have put him in prime position to be one of the new kids on the block in Africa football.
