According to reliable sources, the Ghana Football Association have decided to move Techiman City’s upcoming Division One League clash against Real Tamale United to the Wa Park.

The Wa Park is the home venue of Wa Suntaa who would be playing away to Gbewaa FC.

The change in venue has become necessary due to fans disturbances at the Ohene Ameyew Park in Techiman leading to violence and hence this directive to Techiman City FC from the Competitions Department of the Ghana Football Association.

The decision comes on the back of an indefinite ban on Techiman City after scores of violence at the grounds, including their game against Steadfast and recently against Tamale City which ended abruptly after officials were threatened by supporters of Techiman City, breaking the Covid-19 matchday protocols.

RTU resumed training this week after a week break and are poised to welcome their guest as they continue their search for a return to the Ghana Premier League next season.

The Northern Blues currently occupy 3rd place on the log, 1 point adrift of Berekum Arsenal as the second round of the 2020-21 season return this weekend.

The game at the Wa Sports Stadium will be played on Sunday April 18, 2021 at 3:00 pm.
