The Vice Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) Mr. Kessie Musah Ibrahim has totally condemned and labelled the incident that took place during the Matchday 6 Division One Zone One game played between Nsoatreman FC and Real Tamale United FC on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the Twumasi Sports Complex at Nsuatre in the Bono Region as unfortunate and unacceptable.

Real Tamale United players and officials suffered injuries after fans of Nsoatreman FC pelted them with stones after their Division One League Zone I match on Sunday.

This was after their match had ended 1-1 in town of Nsoatreman.

According to reports, some fans pelted stones at the visitors in expressing their displeasure at the result.

Some players and management members bled profusely after being hit in the head and forehead.

Speaking to sports24online.com on the matter, the Chief Executive Officer of Ultimate Group of Companies Mr. Kessie Musah Ibrahim said, “This is unfortunate and unacceptable. The current GFA is working so hard to raise the goodwill of the game and for us to witness such an incident is sad”.

“We should all keep calm and not incite passion. The GFA has taken a quick action in banning the home venue of Nsoatreman FC and this is an indication that the system is working and very sensitive to issues that will bring the game of football into disrepute”

“Let us all keep calm, especially supporters of RTU and let due process take over. Two wrongs will never make a right. I trust the GFA, of which I am part that this matter would be brought to a deserved end”.
